WWE Releases Statement On Brock Lesnar’s Failed Drug Test

Brock Lesnar....

The MMA world is buzzing about the news that broke on Friday afternoon about former UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar potentially violating USADA’s anti-doping policy. Lesnar defeated Mark Hunt in the co-main event of UFC 200 this past Saturday night. Depending on what Lesnar tested positive for, he could be facing a lengthy suspension.

While yes MMA fans wanted to know if Lesnar would give it one more try in the world famous octagon, there is another set of fans that are interested in seeing what happens with Lesnar, and that is WWE fans. For those who are unaware, Lesnar is scheduled to return to WWE TV later this month to start his build for his match with former WWE Champion Randy Orton at next month’s big SummerSlam PPV event, which airs on the WWE Network in Brooklyn at the Barclays Center. This will be Lesnar’s first pro wrestling match since wrestling Dean Ambrose at WrestleMania 32 in Dallas at AT&T Stadium earlier this year.

WWE issued the following statement on Lesnar:

“Brock Lesnar has not performed for WWE since WrestleMania and is not scheduled to return until Sunday, August 21.”

It’s possible that WWE suspends Lesnar for 30-days. More likely, WWE will just stick to their plans and Lesnar will be back in the squared circle as scheduled.
