With Wife In Labor, John Dodson Rushes Home From Las Vegas
Top-ranked flyweight John Dodson’s week just got a little more complicated heading into his anticipated rematch with Demetrious Johnson in the main event of this Saturday night’s (September 5, 2015) UFC 191 pay-per-view from Las Vegas.
Before he takes part in the biggest fight of his life, the ‘Magician’ had to rush back home to Albuquerque, New Mexico, last night because he wife was giving birth to their baby daughter named Delilah. He posted a photo on Instagram of himself boarding the plane:
Apparently Dodson’s disappearing act worked, as the later tweeted out that Delilah had arrived into the world at 2:45 a.m.:

The top contender will undoubtedly have to spend some time with his wife and child, yet there’s also a time crunch to return to Las Vegas and participate in all of the Fight Week activities for UFC 191. Congratulations are in order for Dodson and his whole family, however, and we wish them the best.
