Dana White: I Think We Have A Fight Lined Up For Tony Ferguson

Tony Ferguson Dana White

According to Dana White, Tony Ferguson may have his next fight lined up.

It was only in late October where White revealed that he had no plans in motion for a Ferguson fight as it seemed “El Cucuy” had no interest in returning to action anytime soon.

However, that has changed — especially with Ferguson recently claiming this week he had fight news. That appears to be the case indeed.

Following UFC Vegas 45 last night, White was asked about the prospect of a Ferguson vs. Nate Diaz fight to which he responded:

“I think we have a fight for Tony Ferguson,” White said (via Cageside Press). “I think we have him lined up with somebody.”

When asked if it was a fun fight, White said the following:

“They’re all fun,” White responded. “Look at tonight. They’re all fun fights. The cards that get doubted are usually the best cards ever. I just posted that this is like the third most finishes in modern UFC history. Tonight was an incredible night. This was the way you end the year, boy, let me tell ya.”

Who Is Fighting Tony Ferguson Next?

As for who Ferguson is fighting remains to be seen.

One guess could be Gregor Gillespie who actually called out the former interim lightweight champion a few days ago:

Of course, given how Ferguson’s last two matchups went, that is far from an ideal matchup. That said, Ferguson has never been one to turn down a fight.

Ferguson is currently on a three-fight losing streak following defeats to Justin Gaethje, Charles Oliveira and Beneil Dariush.
