It was reported by Ariel Helwani on Wednesday’s episode of UFC Tonight that the UFC is looking to book their UFC 193 event in a 55,000 seat stadium, but have gone back and forth on if they want to book it in a stadium or in an arena when they go to Melbourne.

Thus the reason a venue has not been announced yet

Also, that event was rumored to be headlined by a welterweight championship bout between champ Robbie Lawler and Carlos Condit.

Helwani confirmed that the championship fight would indeed be the main event.

Lawler is coming off a sick fight with Rory MacDonald at UFC 189, which he won by TKO while Carlos is 2-2 in his last four fights and is coming off a second-round TKO (referee stoppage) win over Thiago Alves at UFC Fight Night 67.
