Watch Countdown To UFC 175: Weidman vs. Machida

This Saturday night (July 5, 2014), one of the most anticipated UFC pay-per-view events will go down from the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, when middleweight champion Chris Weidman takes on former light heavyweight champion Lyoto “The Dragon” Machida in the main event of UFC 175.

Weidman is famously coming off of two bizarre wins over longtime former champion Anderson Silva. The rapidly developing Weidman has yet to be put in a disadvantageous position in the Octagon, but he’ll face a different breed of opponent in Machida.

“The Dragon” has looked nearly unstoppable at middleweight, knocking out Mark Munoz with a head kick at UFC Fight Night 30 before putting on a technical striking masterpiece against former Strikeforce champ Gegard Mousasi at UFC Fight Night 36.

That adds up to a pivotal, unpredictable blockbuster of a main event at UFC 175, but the hits don’t stop there. Dominant women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey will take on the only other woman to win three bouts in the Octagon in Alexis Davis.
