Video: Watch Ronda Rousey Destroy A Comedian On “The View”
Dominant UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey is quickly becoming arguably the biggest crossover star the sport of MMA has ever seen.
With five stoppage wins in five title defenses, she’s making a mockery of her division, and now she’s taking over mainstream media as well. Earning prominent roles in feature films like “Entourage,” “Expendables 3,” and “Furious 7,” “Rowdy” has taken over movie screens like no MMA fighter has.
She’s taking a few months off to film her latest movie, but when she returns, she’ll be facing off with undefeated Brazilian contender Bethe Correia in the main event of August’s UFC 190 from Rio de Janeiro. Yesterday (Mon., March 23, 2015) Rousey appeared on ABC’s “The View” to discuss her upcoming fight.
After the interview, she took to a makeshift cage to “throw down” against heavily padded staff member and comedian Tom Kelly. The results were rather hilarious:
Following her 14-second win over Cat Zingano in the main event of February’s UFC 184, the discussion of Rousey fighting men ran rampant over MMA for the next few days when Joe Rogan said she could take out “50 percent of male UFC bantamweights.” Rousey added her belief that she wouldn’t count herself out against anybody, but later attempted to squash the talk by stating that it simply wasn’t a realistic proposition.
At least we know she can manhandle a heavy comedian in a singlet with relative ease.
