Nope, I know what you’re thinking, this is 100% genuine and absolutely insane. It seems Conor McGregor has made enemies with an entire religious sect in America…

UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor isn’t well known for being mild mannered. In fact, it’s quite the opposite. Fans and fighters alike have spoken for and against the Irish star’s brazen attitude, which quite often far exceeds the reach and span of the mixed martial arts world. In fact, McGregor is rapidly approaching the stardom level of another formerly super-hyped champ Ronda Rousey.

Like ‘Rowdy,’ McGregor just has the edge that everyone will pay to see. Dominant performances inside the UFC octagon, and crazy antics in the media that keep everyone glued to the UFC’s screens. Enemies that McGregor has made during his brief time in the UFC include every one of his opponents past and present, and just about anyone they are affiliated with, and a never ending stream of online critics. But there’s one set of comments ‘The Notorious’ made that seemed to have touched a nerve.

Conor McGregor vs. Jesus

For some reason, some genius decided to ask Conor McGregor what would happen if he had a fight with Jesus, and his comments have sparked some controversy now.

“Me versus Jesus in the Octagon? I tell you what, there’s not a man alive that can beat me,” McGregor said (transcription via MMAMania). “But Jesus ain’t alive so I don’t fucking know, maybe he can come back from the dead, I don’t know. I’d still whoop his ass.”

When later quizzed on his opinion of Jesus, McGregor assured fans he and Jesus were ‘cool’ because ‘Gods recognize Gods.’

Some people who weren’t cool with McGregor’s comments were a sect of Christian followers in the United States, who have released the following video in response to his alleged ‘Blasphemy,’ they are claiming. If there’s one group of people that history has taught us are dangerous, it’s those conquering Christians, for sure. Has McGregor bitten off more than he can chew?
