Urijah Faber vs. Yuri Alcantara Set For UFC on FS1 In Boston
The super stacked UFC on Fox Sports 1 card scheduled in Boston this August just keeps getting better. The card is going to look even better with the news that Urijah Faber will take on Yuri Alcantara in a blockbuster at Bantamweight.
So here is how the card looks so far: Travis Browne vs. Alistair Overeem, Conor McGregor vs Andy Ogle, Matt Brown vs. Thiago Alves, Uriah Hall vs. Nick Ring, Joe Lauzon vs. Michael Johnson, Ben Henderson vs TJ Grant is being targeted, Daniel Cormier also wants in on the card.
It looks like Dana White is sticking to his promise of giving Boston a great show in the wake of the marathon bombings. Faber vs. Alcantara is a very interesting match up. Faber is dynamic, diverse and exciting to watch. His opponent is heavy handed and has a nasty submission game, so expect a war wherever this fight takes place.
Both mens records are remarkably similar, Faber’s stands at 28-6 while Yuri has 28-4-1. Is it even possible for this card to get any better? Well, if it is possible, who else could be squeezed in to this talent ridden super-event?
