Unbeaten Strawweight Karolina Kowalkiewicz Signs With UFC
The Ultimate Fighting Championship’s (UFC) 115-pound division just got a bit beefier. Undefeated Polish prospect Karolina Kowalkiewicz (7-0) has inked a deal with the world’s largest mixed martial arts (MMA) promotion. MMA Cartel, Kowalkiewicz’s management team, confirmed the news.
Five of Kowalkiewicz’s seven professional bouts have been held under the Konfrontacja Sztuk Walki (KSW) banner. In perhaps her biggest fight to date, Kowalkiewicz defeated Mizuki Inoue by split decision at Invicta FC 9 back in Nov. 2014.
The former KSW strawweight champion took to her Twitter account to express her joy in signing a contract with the UFC:
Dreams are there to meet them and I am one step closer to my dreams. Here we go! @ufc pic.twitter.com/82aAU7w4Tr

She also wanted to let her fans know that despite the UFC-Reebok deal, Kowalkiewicz has maintained her sponsors:
Hey guys, don’t worry about my sponsors. They are still with me 😉 #ExPlatforma @pitbullsports #MML #IHS
