UFN 50 highlights featuring some super slo-mo action from the best fights in Connecticut
UFC Fight Night 50: Jacare vs Mousasi 2 went down last Friday night (September 5, 2014) from the Foxwoods Resort Casino in Ledyard, Connecticut and it turned out to be a spectacular event all round.
Headlining UFN 50 was a critical match-up in the middleweight division as top contenders Ronaldo Souza and Gegard Mousasi squared off in a rematch from their first clash in 2006. Mousasi reigned victorious back then, knocking the Brazilian out to win Dream’s vacant 185-pound title.
However, “Jacare” settled the score this weekend in dominant fashion as he submitted “The Dreamcatcher” with a textbook guillotine choke to put him to 4-0 in his UFC career. The rest of the main card was also filled with jaw-dropping action, including a back-and-fourth war between Joe Lauzon and Michael Chiesa followed by two huge knockouts from Matt Mitrione then Ben Rothwell.
