UFC’s first Swedish fight card taking shape with six fights including Stann vs Sakara
The UFC will make its first trek to Sweden on April 14, 2012. The fight card will take place in Stockholm and according to MMAJunkie.com, it will air live on Fuel TV from the Ericsson Globe Arena beginning at 3 p.m. ET.
Several fights have been booked for the card, including a middleweight scrap between Brian Stann and Alessio Sakara. Stann recently saw a three fight winning streak come to an end when he was submitted by Chael Sonnen at UFC 136. For his part Sakara also had a three fight winning streak come to an end in his most recent bout when he dropped a unanimous decision to Chris Weidman in March on a UFC Live card.
Other fights expected on the card are Papy Abedi vs James Head, DeMarques Johnson vs John Maguire, Magnus Cedenblad vs. Francis Carmont, Cyrille Diabate vs. Jorgen Kruth as well as Besam Yousef vs. Simeon Thoresen. – for more see MMANytt.se
