UFC Rankings Updated Following UFN 48 & UFN 49

The official UFC rankings have been updated following the promotion’s double-header this weekend.

Rafael Dos Anjos was the big mover in the rankings after he handed former UFC lightweight champion Benson Henderson the first knockout loss of his professional career at Fight Night 49 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The monumental win on Saturday at the BOK Center shot the Brazilian two places up the 155 pound ladder into the No.3 position.

With his second loss in the UFC, “Bendo” drops from the No.1 spot down to No.4; pushing Gilbert Melendez and Khabib Nurmagomedov up one place each. Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone, who is set to face UFC newcomer Eddie Alvarez in the co-main event of UFC 178, dropped down from the No.4 spot to the No.5 position.

The welterweight rankings also seen a shuffle with former Strikeforce competitor’s Tyron Woodley and Jordan Mein picking up big wins in their co-headliners on Saturday. “The Chosen One” got back in the win column with a first round knockout over Dong Hyun Kim, with the victory he moved up to the No.3 spot.

With his devastating stoppage of Mike Pyle, Mein entered the rankings for the first time in his career, moving into the No.13 position.
