UFC Fight Night 54 From Halifax Materializes With Six New Bouts

Set to go down October 4 from the Halifax Metro Centre in Halifax, Canada, UFC Fight Night 54 recently received a pivotal welterweight main event in the form of Rory MacDonald vs. Tarec Saffiedine.

The card was bolstered by the addition of top-ranked bantamweight Raphael Assuncao, who will take on Bryan Caraway. Today, the promotion has taken another big steps towards filling up the card, adding six bouts to the growing lineup.

Headlining the new announcements, both of April’s The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) Nations contract winners will fight in Halifax.

Middleweight winner Elias Theodorou, who defeated Sheldon Westcott to win the contract, will take on Bruno Santos. Meanwhile, welterweight winner Chad Laprise will cut down to 155 pounds in order to face Cuban standout Yosdenis Cedeno.
