UFC Fight Night 42: John Dodson vs. John Moraga Fight Video Highlights
No. 1-ranked UFC flyweight John “The Magician” Dodson got his second straight knockout finish by defeating No. 5 John Moraga on the main card of last night’s (June 7, 2014) UFC Fight Night from the Tingley Coliseum in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Using his speed to pepper an overmatched Moraga, Dodson found an opening for a perfect knee that broke his nose late in the second round. Moraga was not allowed to answer the bell for the final round, locking up a crucial win for Dodson in his hometown.
Although it was a solid night for Dodson, it may not have been the emphatic performance he needed to get another title shot at dominant UFC flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson; we’ll just have to wait and see what transpires when “Mighty Mouse” faces Ali Bagautinov in the main event of UFC 174 next Saturday (June 14, 2014).
