UFC Fight Night 42: Diego Sanchez vs. Ross Pearson Preview

Diego Sanchez and Ross Pearson will square off this Saturday at UFC Fight Night 42, in a bout that stands a great chance of being ‘Fight of the night’. The two veteran sluggers are no strangers to high level barn burners, and Sanchez may well be the only fighter to ever have three ‘Fight of the year’ awards to his name (any takers?). Pearson has been inactive since his 2013 NC against Melvin Guillard, but was riding a two-fight, and knockout streak until that night.

‘The Dream’ is most well known in recent times for his epic slobber knocker against Gilbert Melendez at UFC 166, a fight that was as exciting as it was hard to call for many fans. The story at UFC 171 was very different for Sanchez, as he looked lacklustre in his decision loss to Myles Jury. Sanchez later cited food poisoning in the lead up to the ‘Fury’ fight, so hopefully he will be back on form for this Saturday night.
