UFC Fight Night 42 Attendance & Live Gate Figures
The UFC’s visit to the Tingley Coliseum, Albuquerque, New Mexico, was a mixed bag of results for the competitors. The high altitude presented an additional challenge for almost all of the evening’s combatants, causing a few guys to gas rather heavily. There was extreme controversy with the decision rendered for the Diego Sanchez/Ross Pearson gig, and hold the press; Benson Henderson picked up his first finish since 2010!
So how did the promotion’s first foray in to the land of ‘Breaking Bad’ go? Well, UFC exec Dave Sholler revealed at the post fight presser that a princely sum of $697,901 was generated by an attendance of 8,775 fans in New Mexico. That puts the average price of a ticket at just shy of $80. Whether or not the fans feel they got value for money is another story, see here, or here, but it looks like this may not be the UFC’s last visit to the South West.
