UFC Fight Night 41: Gegard Mousasi vs. Mark Munoz Fight Video Highlights
No. 11-ranked UFC middleweight Gegard Mousasi got his biggest UFC win at today’s (Sat., May 31, 2014) UFC Fight Night 4 from the O2 World in Berlin Germany, defeating No. 7-ranked Mar Munoz with a brutal first round rear naked choke after dominating ‘The Filipino Wrecking Machine’ in the grappling department, a surprising result for sure.
Munoz’ advantage was obviously thought to lie in his NCAA national champion-level wrestling pedigree, but Mousasi was largely able to exercise slick reversals and takedown defense to put Munoz in some very bad positions on the mat.
With the win, Mousasi proved his ground game is rapidly approaching his world-class striking. ‘The Dreamcatcher’ called out for Luke Rockhold or Tim Kennedy in his post –fight interview, and both would be huge fights for the former Strikeforce and DREAM champion.
