UFC 189: New Tour Dates Announced for Western Canada

In what will likely be on the of the greatest cards in recent memory, UFC 189 takes place during International Fight Week and promises to be an incredible experience for UFC fans. For Canadian fans, especially those out West, the UFC has added new dates for the UFC 189 World Championship Tour in British Columbia and Alberta. 

Even though most fans will be looking forward to the bout between Jose Aldo and Conor McGregor, the welterweight title will also be on the line, as current champion Robbie Lawler will take on number one contender Rory MacDonald. MacDonald is a Vancouver-born fighter and will be the leading fan favorite as the UFC makes their way back to Canada.

There are two newly-added events in Western Canada, which will take place on March 24th and 25th. The event on March 24th will be a media only event in Vancouver, British Columbia that will feature Lawler and MacDonald. On March 25th, the UFC will make their way to Calgary, Alberta, for a fan event that will also feature the current champ and challenger. The second event takes place at 12 p.m. local time and will be a free event for the public.
