UFC Sets Weidman-Rockhold Title Fight For December
It’s been a wild day of news so far, and the updates just keep coming. After recently learning that Robbie Lawler will take on Carlos Condit at UFC 194, backed up by Johny Hendricks vs. Tyron Woodley, UFC president Dana White has finally opened up to questioning regarding Chris Weidman‘s middleweight title tilt with Luke Rockhold. ‘The All-American’ and ‘Rocky’ was originally in the works for a December 31st showdown in the Madison Square Garden, but the hopes of that happening went down the drain with MMA (mixed martial arts) legislation once again falling short in New York.
White confirmed that the two will still face off in December, but an event or venue is still yet to be revealed:

Great news for fans that were concerned about the growing list of injured champions, and the possibility of seeing more no-name headlined PPV’s (pay-per-views) and Fight Night cards throughout the rest of 2016. The news that Weidman-Rockhold is still a go for December is awesome.
Speculation time; could the UFC be planning another doubleheader of title fights at UFC 194 this time? With Robbie Lawler becoming serious hot property with his thrilling TKO of Rory MacDonald at UFC 189, the addition of ‘The All-American’ and ‘Rocky’ could send this card through the roof in terms of buys.
