UFC Rankings Update: Lyoto Machida Takes #3 Spot, RDA #1

The official UFC rankings have been changed…Vitor Belfort and Khabib Nurmagomedov drop a place….

UFC Fight Night 58 went down this past weekend (Saturday, December 20th) rounding off a busy year for the promotion. Sao Paolo, Brazil played host to the last UFC event of 2014, and was headlined by a niddleweight bash between Lyoto Machida and CB Dollaway. The match came to an abrupt end after 62 seconds, following a huge body kick by “The Dragon”.

Renan Barao also returned victoriosly, with a one-sided submission win over Mitch Gagnon. Highlights of that bout here. Following the event, there have been a few changes in the UFC rankings, including Khabib Nurmagomedov dropping to the number two spot behind Rafael dos Anjos. There was some confusion when the two held the joint number one spot after UFC on FOX 13.

Anthony Pettis moves ahead of Cain Velasquez in the pound for pound list, having submitted Gilbert Melendez at UFC 181. Lyoto Machida jumps above Vitor Belfort in the UFC rankings, which now look as follows:
