UFC on Fox 4: Fighter Bonuses and Attendance, Lauzon wins 2 awards
The attendance and post-fight bonuses have been announced for tonight’s UFC on Fox 4 at Staples Center in Los Angeles, California. Bonuses of $50,000 each, were awarded for Submission of the Night to Joe Lauzon, Fight of the Night went to Joe Lauzon, again, and Jamie Varner and the Knockout of the Night was awarded to Mike Swick for his 1:20 KO victory over DaMarques Johnson in the second round. The total bonus payout for this event came to $200,000. These numbers do not represent any pay-per-view bonuses or victory bonuses.
UFC President Dana White gave the attendance as 16,080 at the post fight press conference and said that the live gate was .1 million.

Knockout of the Night:
The Knockout of the Night Bonus went to Mike Swick for his 1:20 KO victory over DaMarques Johnson in the second round of their Main Card fight. After a brutal first round where Swick looked to be in trouble. Johnson threw a kick that Swick used to knock Johnson to the ground. As he landed on his back, Swick followed him landing a big right hand on the way down and followed up with another while Johnson was on the ground.
Fight of the Night/Submission of the Night:
The Fight of the Night bonus went to Lightweights Joe Lauzon and Jamie Varner for their fight on the Main Card. Varner started out strong with a series of hooks to the body and rattled Lauzon with a hard right. He responded with an uppercut and a knee, and moved in with some combinationsVisibly shaken he landed a big right to Lauzon’s temple which dropped him, and the two went to the mat for the remainder of round one. In the second Lauzon took a few leg kicks and Varner threw a few combos, but he got reversed on a takedown and Lauzon and took his back. Varner escaped and Lauzon took him down again. Varner stood up, but Lauzon took his back once more and almost had an arm bar until Varner slipped out at the bell. In the third Varner took the half-guard and threw a few elbows while Lauzon transitioned to a triangle choke forcing Lauzon to tap at 2:44 and winning Submission of the Night in addition to Fight of the Night.
