Never one to beat around the bush, Henderson was frank in his discussion about the title fight at this weekend’s UFC 145. Recently, UK MMA star Michael Bisping came out with a bold claim. Never known to be the most soft-spoken of fighters, he believes that Chael Sonnen will indeed best Anderson Silva in Rio (or wherever the fight actually happens). He will then beat Sonnen in a rematch upon being given an immediate title shot. Bisping lost a hotly-contested bout versus Sonnen on UFC on Fox 2 earlier this year. Last Saturday, a highly controversial caption appeared online that while perhaps intended as humor, seemed to insinuate that UFC President Dana White was such a fan of Jon Jones, that he had bet an exorbitant sum of money on him to retain the title at UFC 145 in Atlanta, Georgia. Understandably, number-one contender Rashad Evans reacted with anger upon hearing these allegations. While the site did issue a retraction, there still has been much fallout that could ultimately have legal ramifications. 

Tuesday night Chael Sonnen came to the defense of under-fire Heavyweight Alistair Overeem, who awaits the decision of NSAC concerning his license to fight at UFC 146. Blaming the media, Sonnen essentially considered Overeem’s issue to be an overblown phenomenon created by MMA media.
