The UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship) is the world’s largest MMA promotion and LowKickMMA provides daily UFC news and exclusives. Beginning in 1993 the UFC introduced organized and sanctioned MMA to the United States. The promotion set out with the goal of finding the ultimate fighting champion pitting all disciplines of martial arts against each other in a tournament-style with a champion crowned on the night.

Today brought some bad news for MMA fans that were hoping for a Carlos Condit versus Jake Ellenberger rematch as the UFC announced that Ellenberger would be facing Martin Kampmann in the main event of “The Ultimate Fighter” 15 finale. Oddly, it was Kampmann who handed Condit his last defeat, beating the current interim Welterweight champion via split decision on April 1, 2009. Condit followed that loss by defeating Ellenberger via split decision in September of the same year.

UFC President Dana White, alongside director of Canadian operations Tom Wright, hosted a Press Conference today at the Flames Central in Calgary, Alberta, Canada to announce a series of upcoming events. Also present was native MMA stars Jason MacDonald, Nick Ring, and Mitch Clark, as well as Mark Hominick and Welterweight Champion Georges St. Pierre, who joined the proceedings via satellite.To get things underway, White took to the podium and announced that three UFC events are now scheduled to take place
Had an error not been made, the UFC would have been scheduling their first Flyweight title fight. Instead, they are in a spot where they are booking a rematch between Ian McCall and Demetrious Johnson.
McCall and Johnson will meet on June 8 on the UFC on FX 3 fight card. As of now the event does not have a location, that will be determined by the UFC’s “Hometown Throwdown” contest that is being run in conjunction with Harley Davidson.

As everyone is painfully aware, mixed martial arts remain illegal in New York State. Steven Crowder recently released a rather lengthy and in depth look at situation in New York and he boiled it down to the simple fact that the Culinary Union has the politicians on their side.

UFC veteran Antoni Hardonk goes head to head with Canadian Pop superstar Justin Bieber at the LA Sands Boxing Club in Los Angeles, California. The Dutch striker last competed in mixed martial arts at UFC 104 and appears to have moved onto to bigger and Bieber – erm better things.
