The UFC announced today that Brock Jardine (9-1 MMA, 0-0 UFC) will replace Papy Abedi (8-2 MMA, 0-2 UFC) in a welterweight match against Rick Story (13-5 MMA, 6-3 UFC) on next month’s UFC on FX 4. The irony is that Abedi was a replacement for Rich Attonito (10-5 MMA, 3-2 UFC), who was previously dropped from the card due to injury.

Appearing on “UFC Tonight,” Rashad Evans had some comments on his rival Jon Jones’s recent arrest for DWI and subsequent plea bargain. The comments made by Evans are not in the nature one would think. Evans stated he was not surprised by the May 19th incident:

This morning, UFC Light Heavyweight champion Jon Jones appeared in a Binghamton, New York courtroom to enter a guilty plea for his recent driving while intoxicated arrest. The plea stems from an early morning of May 19th arrest in which Jones crashed his 2012 Bentley into a pole. City Court Judge Daniel Seiden handed down a punishment that included an alcohol dependency counseling program and of course a suspended driver’s license.
