The UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship) is the world’s largest MMA promotion and LowKickMMA provides daily UFC news and exclusives. Beginning in 1993 the UFC introduced organized and sanctioned MMA to the United States. The promotion set out with the goal of finding the ultimate fighting champion pitting all disciplines of martial arts against each other in a tournament-style with a champion crowned on the night.

According to UFC President Dana White, he has offered Dan Henderson two fights since he defeated Mauricio “Shogun” Rua at UFC 139, which took place at San Jose’s HP Pavilion. White has stated that Henderson has turned down both of those fights.
For his part Henderson has made it clear that he is only interested in a title shot, at either middleweight or light heavyweight.

Pro boxing legend and one-fight UFC veteran, James Toney, discusses Quinton “Rampage” Jackson’s recent Twitter tirade against the Ultimate Fighting Championship. Toney insists that Jackson has become a “slave to the white man,” and offers the former Light Heavyweight Champion a job at his gym as a “janitor or sparring partner.”
Legendary boxing coach Freddy Roach once again labeled Anderson Silva as the best pure boxer currently competing in Mixed Martial Arts. Roach praised Silva’s movement and timing, adding that “The Spider” is one of the most intelligent fighters he ever worked with. Earlier this month Quinton “Rampage” Jackson railed against the UFC, bemoaning the types of opponents he was being given and asking for his release from the organization with one fight remaining on his contract.
The UFC answered with a fight that seemed to fit Jackson’s style request, a rematch with the man that defeated him in August 2005 while they both fighters were members of the PRIDE organization, Mauricio “Shogun” Rua.

The UFC recently announced that Anderson Silva and Chael Sonnen would meet in the main event of UFC 147, which will take place at the Estádio Olímpico João Havelange in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The soccer stadium seats almost 47,000 fans when in use for that sport. When set up for UFC 147, it is expected that the crowd will rival or surpass the more than 55,000 fans that witnessed UFC 129 at the Rogers Centre in Toronto.

Jake Shields’ time at Welterweight has come to an end. According to Tuesday night’s edition of Fuel TV’s UFC Tonight, Shields will move to the 185 pound division for his next fight.

UFC Lightweight Champion Benson Henderson, who will meet Frankie Edgar for the second time this year, looks back on his performance in Japan and shares his thoughts on “The Answer” being granted an immediate rematch. Henderson says he “absolutely” agrees with the decision to book the rematch, insisting that not doing so would be “criminal.” The champ also talks about a future encounter with Anthony Pettis, who currently stands as the last man to defeat him.
