Cyborg Santos tested positive for Anabolic Steroids, suspended by CSAC

Cristiane “Cyborg” Santos, the champion of Strikeforce’s 145 pound woman’s division has been suspended by the California State Athletic Commission after her drug test following her December 17 fight against Hiroko Yamanaka came back positive for stanozolol.
Stanozolol is a synthetic anabolic steroid that is very similar to testosterone.

UFC’s first Swedish fight card taking shape with six fights including Stann vs Sakara

The UFC will make its first trek to Sweden on April 14, 2012. The fight card will take place in Stockholm and according to MMAJunkie.com, it will air live on Fuel TV from the Ericsson Globe Arena beginning at 3 p.m. ET.

Two “champions” will walk to the Octagon for the UFC on Fox 2 co-main event, as WWE Champion CM Punk will join “Chael P. Sonnen, the true champion” for Sonnen’s bout against Mark Munoz.
CM Punk, who hails from Chicago, has admitted that he is a fan of MMA and if you have witnessed a Chael Sonnen interview as of late, you know that he has watched some video on how to hype a fight and build an image via interviews.

UFC 142 Conference Call: Chad Mendes will "blast Jose Aldo off of his feet"

UFC 142 is set to go down on January 14 from the HSBC Arena in Rio de Janeiro. The main event on the card will feature a Featherweight title bout between Champion Jose Aldo and challenger, the undefeated Chad Mendes.
The co-main event will feature a middleweight bout between Vitor Belfort and Anthony Johnson.  Johnson, will be making his middleweight debut in Brazil, moving up from Welterweight.

UFC 141 Medical Suspensions: Four fighters out up to six months

UFC 141 took place on Friday, December 30. Of the 20 fighters that participated in the ten fights that took place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, twelve of them were handed medical suspensions.
Of those suspended Brock Lesnar, Nate Diaz, Vladimir Matyushenko and Manny Gamburyan could face the longest time away from the Octagon.

Brock Lesnar: A farewell to the former UFC Heavyweight Champ

If the words he spoke on Saturday night are to be believed, we have seen the last of Brock Lesnar in the Octagon.  In an MMA career that spanned just eight fights he accomplished more than some fighters do over much lengthier careers. Brock Lesnar has had a funny UFC career, not “ha ha” funny, but more scratch your head and wonder funny.  He started his MMA career  with a win over the then 2-5 Min Soo Kim and apparently that was enough to warrant a UFC contract and a shot against a former UFC Heavyweight Champion, Frank Mir.
