UFC Announces three Canada events for 2012; Jose Aldo to headline July 21st Calgary card

UFC President Dana White, alongside director of Canadian operations Tom Wright, hosted a Press Conference today at the Flames Central in Calgary, Alberta, Canada to announce a series of upcoming events. Also present was native MMA stars Jason MacDonald, Nick Ring, and Mitch Clark, as well as Mark Hominick and Welterweight Champion Georges St. Pierre, who joined the proceedings via satellite.To get things underway, White took to the podium and announced that three UFC events are now scheduled to take place

Ian McCall versus Demetrious Johnson rematch set

Had an error not been made, the UFC would have been scheduling their first Flyweight title fight. Instead, they are in a spot where they are booking a rematch between Ian McCall and Demetrious Johnson.
McCall and Johnson will meet on June 8 on the UFC on FX 3 fight card. As of now the event does not have a location, that will be determined by the UFC’s “Hometown Throwdown” contest that is being run in conjunction with Harley Davidson.
