Famed MMA trainer Greg Jackson spoke up today about his prized fighter Jon Jones’ injured right arm from a Vitor Belfort armbar last Saturday. Previously thought to be facing potential nerve damage in the arm, it appears that Jones is surprisingly healthy considering the circumstances:
“It didn’t dislocate or anything. I’m sure it’s just strained, and maybe a bursa sac or two went out, but I don’t think it’s going to be anything major.” – via Sherdog.com

Dan Hardy was once at the top of the MMA world, facing Georges St. Pierre for the Welterweight championship in spring 2010. He lost that fight, and it caused a sort of downward spiral for the British-based striker, who would go on to lose four in a row. Another day, another set of off-the-wall quotes from Quentin “Rampage” Jackson. Jackson appeared on “The MMA Hour” yesterday to discuss his new-found rejuvenation of his love for fighting, his thoughts on Jon Jones, his recent injury and withdrawal from his Glover Texeira fight, and to do a dance. His thoughts on a new lease on fighting:
“I’m thinking the world hasn’t forgotten about me. I used to be one of the best fighters in the world, and my people out there, they still
Surrounding UFC 152, the Canadian newspaper Toronto Sun released an article that portrayed the UFC as a declining product, featuring many criticisms to back up its assertion. One main tenet of the article believed that the UFC is losing ground in Canada, mainly Toronto, a place where it has been quite popular for some time. Another aspect of the article focused on the five main draws of UFC pay-per-views, citing retired former Heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar as the top man. The article also insinuated
Amidst all of the endless injury talk that has dominated MMA for months now, it finally appears that one fighter is able to return to training on schedule. That fighter is Dan Henderson, whose injury partly lead to the cancellation of UFC 151, sparking a fallout of epic proportions. The resulting bout of Jon Jones versus Vitor Belfrot was rescheduled an Jones won but injured his arm in the process. Henderson, however, is rumored to be fighting Lyoto Machida for a perceived 205 lb. title shot even though
