The UFC have this afternoon confirmed their return to London on March 22. next — set to feature a ‘Fight Night’ billed card from the capital in the opening quarter of next year.

Most recently featuring in the English capital in the summer of last year, the promotion featured another ‘Fight Night’ billed card at the O2 Arena, with current interim heavyweight champion, Tom Aspinall continuing his roughshod run through the division with a blistering knockout win over perennial contender, Marcin Tybura.

And featuring in the county earlier this summer — as recently as July, in fact — much ado was made of the promotion’s UFC 304 event at the Co-op Live Arena in Manchester, with a title fight double headliner closing the curtain on the early hours flagship event.

However, on social media this afternoon, the promotion confirmed its return to a familiar landing in the UK — this time featuring another ‘Fight Night’ billed card in the English capital.

“London, we are back in PRIME TIME,” UFC Europe posted on its official X account. “Our #UFCLondon return is official for Saturday 22. March.”

And while an official headliner has yet to be determined for the card, speculation has been rife regarding a potential return for former undisputed welterweight champion, Leon Edwards — who himself was the subject of a call out from former title challenger, Jorge Masvidal this week, who is planning his own Octagon comeback next annum.

“We’ll be coming into the UFC next year,” Jorge Masvidal said during a recent interview. “I think it would be Leon (Edwards). “Let’s roll the dice for the number one guy in the world. I’ll find out if I am who I say I am. I want to fight the world’s best. “I always have. I’ve been out of the game a little bit. Let’s see what’s possible.”
