UFC Fight Night: Lewis vs. Spivac – Best Bets

ufc

This weekend the UFC returns to the Apex Arena, with a somewhat light card, especially when compared with the recent UFC 281 PPV event.

However, fan favorite Derrick Lewis is back, as he takes on a rising contender in Sergey Spivac. There are also a few more names of note that die-hard fans will tune in to watch.

Join us below as we break down our top two bets for this UFC card.

Derrick Lewis ML

Derrick Lewis is one of those fighters that can change the entire dynamic of a fight in the space of a second. His classic comeback KO finish of Alexander Volkov is perhaps the best example of this. There are also several other dynamics in play that favor ‘The Black Beast’ in this fight, such as his extremely impressive record whilst fighting in the Apex Arena.

He also has a tendency to simply run through opponents who are not of a truly elite level, just as he did to Chris Daukaus. Spivac is a talented fighter and an impressive wrestler for the division. However, is he truly worthy of a containership spot in the division? We are going to gamble that he isn’t.

Derrick Lewis’ ML can be found at +170 on Betway.

Jack Della Maddalena KO/TKO

For a second bet, we will take the heavily juiced line of Jack Della Maddalena’s KO/TKO prop.

Jack Della Maddalena may well have the cleanest boxing in the entire UFC. The Australian welterweight picks his shots with incredible accuracy and does not discriminate between targeting the head and the body.

This weekend he takes on Danny Roberts, a veteran fighter based out of the UK. However, Roberts is notoriously chinny, despite his well-versed skillset. It seems inevitable that JDM will connect with Roberts’ jaw at some point, likely even in the first round.

Jack Della Maddalena by TKO/KO is on Betway -250, which while juicy, is as good a lock as you will get. JDM by KO in Round 1 may also be worth a punt, which can be found at +150.
