UFC Fight Night 82 Bonuses: Thompson Pockets $50,000 With Upset Win

UFC Fight Night 82 is now in the books, as the event went down this past evening (February 6, 2016) from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The main event featured a pivotal welterweight clash between former champion Johny “Bigg Rigg” Hendricks and No. 8-ranked rising contender Stephen “Wonderboy” Thompson. Thompson put his elite level striking on display, scoring a major upset with a first round TKO victory.

“Wonderboy” was given a $50,000 “Performance of the Night” bonus for his efforts.

Veteran Mike Pyle and Sean Spencer also did battle on the card. After a slow start, Pyle battled back in the third round to score a TKO finish. The two men earned $50,000 “Fight of the Night” bonuses after an exciting affair.

Earlier on the preliminary portion of the card, Diego Rivas pulled off one of the most brutal flying knee knockouts in sport history over Noad Lahat, earning a $50,000 “Performance of the Night” bonus for his finish.
