UFC Fight Night 72 Peaks With 731,000 Viewers On Fox Sports 1

The UFC held their 72nd Fight Night event this past Saturday morning and did decent numbers for a typically Fight Night event.

UFC Fight Night 72’s prelims at 11 a.m., did 292,000 viewers, down slightly from the UFC Fight Night 63 prelims that did 304,000 viewers.

As far as the main card goes, it averaged 508,000 viewers but peaked during the main event of 731,000 viewers. Those numbers are up from the UFC Fight Night 63 main card that did 389,000 viewers. In UFC Fight Night 63’s main event between Chad Mendes and Ricardo Lamas, the promotion did 575,000 viewers.

Prior to UFC Fight Night 72, the last event that the UFC aired in the morning on Fox Sports 1 was Urijah Faber vs. Frankie Edgar-led show from the Philippines, which did 575,000 viewers.

UFC Fight Night 72 took place on Saturday, July 18, 2015, at The SSE Hydro in Glasgow, Scotland.

The event will be headlined by a middleweight bout between veteran contender Michael Bisping and former title challenger Thales Leites.
