The Ultimate Fighting Championship’s (UFC) summer schedule is absolutely stacked, with a plethora of exciting fights coming up. Although the blockbuster UFC 189, which is set for this Saturday (July 11, 2015) is in the forefront of many fans’ minds, we also have UFC Fight Night 71 and UFC Fight Night 72 short after that.

UFC Fight Night 71 is set to go down next week on Wednesday July 15, 2015 live on FOX Sports 1 from San Diego, California. The main event is set to feature a heavyweight showdown between No. 10-ranked former champion Frank Mir and Todd Duffee.

Mir had hit a rough patch prior to his last performance, dropping four straight bouts, and prompting many to call for his retirement. However, after a much needed layoff, he returned in February to blast Antonio “Big Foot” Silva via first round knockout.

After a two-year hiatus Duffee returned to action last December at UFC 181, also scoring a first-round TKO victory over Anthony Hamilton.

Both heavyweights will be looking to create a win streak in San Diego, and to get pumped for the card, check out the free fight above courtesy of the UFC, as Frank Mir takes on the legendary Mirko Cro Cop.

After UFC Fight Night 71, we also have UFC Fight Night 72 just three days later on July 18, 2015 live from Glasgow, Scotland. The main event features a crucial middleweight clash between No. 9-ranked Michael “The Count” Bisping, and No. 10-ranked Thales Leites.

The long-time middleweight mainstay Bisping has alternated wins and losses in his last nine bouts, and recently bounced back at April’s UFC 186, scoring a hard-fought decision win over CB Dolloway. “The Count” will look to continue his winning ways in Scotland.

Leites on the other hand, has experienced a career resurgence as of late, putting together five-straight wins, and making a name for himself in the process. If the Brazilian can score a win over the reputable Bisping, he will for sure secure a huge fight in the stacked middleweight divison.
