UFC Fight Night 69 Post-Fight Press Conference

Joanna Jedrzeczyk

UFC Fight Night 69 went down today (June 20, 2015) live on UFC Fight Pass From the O2 Arena in Berlin, Germany, and what an event it was, a night of finishes it could be deemed.

The prelim portion of the card actually produced six finishes in seven bouts, and it seems as if we had a few potential stars in the making make a name for themselves.

Lightweight Mairbek Taisumov, a natural finisher, continued his climb up the 155-pound rankings, battling back from an eye poke to score a brutal second-round TKO after he dropped his opponent, Alan Patrick, with a head kick.

In the featured prelim bout, Finland’s own Makwan Amirkhani continued his quest as a rising prospect in the UFC. Amirkhani made his UFC debut in January, scoring a breathtaking eight-second TKO victory. Although he wasn’t able to top such a feat in his second appearance, he wasted little time, scoring a first-round near-naked-choke victory over Masio Fullen.

Moving on the main card, reigning women’s strawweight queen Joanna Jedrzeczyk stole the show in her first title defense against decorated grappler Jessica Penne. Jedrzeczyk proved she has all the makings of a potential superstar, absolutely battering and bloodying Penne over the course of three rounds with some of the best striking we’ve ever seen in the Octagon. It was a striking clinic for the champion, and she paired an even more entertaining post-fight interview with it, truly making a name for herself.

After the fights, the fighters met with the media to talk about the event. Check out the UFC Fight Night 69 post-fight press conference here at LowKickMMA below:
