UFC Fight Night 68 Results: Francisco Rivera Knocks Out Alex Caceres In 21 Seconds
Bantamweights Francisco Rivera and Alex Caceres kicked off the main card of tonight’s (Sat., June 6, 2015) UFC Fight Night 68 from the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Rivera stepped back inside the Octagon after suffering a cracked retina as a result of his bout with Urijah Faber at UFC 181. Much like “Cisco,” Caceres was also looking to rebound from a loss he sustained back in 2014 to Masanori Kanehara.
In the opening frame, “Bruce Leeroy” threw a couple of jabs and a body kick. Rivera was unfazed and landed an overhand right to counter Caceres’ jab. Rivera clipped Caceres with a left hook that dropped him. “Cisco” followed it up with some ground and pound and the fight was stopped.
Final Result: Francisco Rivera def. Alex Caceres via R1 KO (punches, :21)
