UFC Fight Night 68 Open Workout Highlights
UFC Fight Night 68 is just one day away from going down in New Orleans, Louisiana, with the promotion putting on another busy weekend of action. At the top of the card is a middleweight showdown between a true MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) legend, Dan Henderson, and a tough and always game Tim Boetsch. ‘Hendo’, now 44 years of age, will once again battle the odds and father time in an attempt to prove he can still hang in the UFC. ‘The Barbarian’ will look to smash his way through Henderson, so get read for some hard to watch violence this Saturday (June 6th, 2015).
Heavyweights Ben Rothwell and Matt Mitrione will duke it out, both hoping to keep their respective two and three fight win streaks alive. They have each finished all their opponents since the last time they lost, and certainly for ‘Meathead’ this is a huge opportunity to nestle himself among the elite of the division. Shawn Jordan and Derrick Lewis will also take part in a 265-pound showdown in New Orleans.
Lightweight is the scene of Dustin Poirier vs Yancy Medeiros, as ‘Diamond’ looks to make it two in a row at 155 pounds, and ‘Frisson’ will hope to make Poirier his third straight submission victim. So it shouldn’t be too bad of a night in Louisiana this weekend, although it will likely pale in comparison to the upcoming PPV (pay-per-view) events that the promotion has scheduled.
