Pereira, a former undisputed middleweight champion and the current light heavyweight crown, has been linked with a monstrous return to action as soon as UFC 313 on March 8. — with a grudge bout against surging Russian foe, Ankalaev reportedly in the works over the last few months.

And on social media tonight, eagle-eyed fans shared screenshots of an apparent leak-and-delete from the promotion’s official Instagram — confirming a light heavyweight title fight between Alex Pereira and Magomed Ankalaev will headline UFC 313 at the T-Mobile Arena.
Furthermore, along with an apparent headliner of Alex Pereira and Magomed Ankalaev, a long-speculated lightweight clash between former interim champion, Justin Gaethje and surging Kiwi striker, Dan Hooker was also leaked in the post on social media.
This week to boot, Arizona native, Gaethje confirmed he was currently gearing up for a return to action at UFC 313 in March — with a pairing against City Kickboxing contender, Hooker targeted for the same card.
“So there’s no official fight signed, but I told the UFC maybe two, three months ago that March was, you know, the date I was looking for,” Justin Gaethje said on his official YouTube channel. “I know there’s a fight March 8th in Las Vegas, so that’s the one I told them I wanted to be on. I think they’re figuring out fights right now, but I’m certainly mentally preparing, physically preparing to fight on that date.”
