Betting Odds
Conor McGregor may not be fighting but Dana White has still managed to put together a stacked night of fights for International Fight Week.
UFC 303 will take place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on Saturday night.
In the main event, light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira has once again stepped up on short notice to defend his belt against ex-titleholder Jiri Prochazka.
Before that, fans will be treated to another last-minute fight between featherweight contenders Brian Ortega and Diego Lopes, who will be hoping to make a case for a shot at 145lb king Ilia Topuria.
Join LowKickMMA as we preview and predict these two massive fights and provide you with UFC odds for every bout on the main card this weekend.
Alex Pereira vs Jiri Prochazka II.
Pereira is naturally the -160 favorite heading into a rematch with a man he knocked out in two rounds just over half a year ago.
As far as we are concerned, nothing has really changed since their scrap at UFC 295 in November, and that means we’ll likely get the same result.
Prochazka is +130 underdog because he is wild, powerful, and capable of springing an upset – but he’s also very easy to hit and that’s not good against ‘Poatan’.
We’ll be backing the champion to retain his belt in the UFC 303 main event.
Brian Ortega vs Diego Lopes
Ortega is surprisingly the +125 underdog heading into a fight with Lopes, who has lost six time against much lesser opposition.
The Brazilian is certainly entertaining to watch, but it appears his three-fight UFC win streak has convinced the bookmakers he’s a future champion.
However, we’ll be backing against the -150 favorite this weekend.
Ortega hits hard and we can see him becoming the first man to submit Lopes, who is no slouch on the ground and will happily engage in grappling exchanges with the BJJ specialist.
Anthony Smith vs Roman Dolidze
This fight will be all about who wants it most due to its short-notice nature.
Smith is the more experienced fighter who has fought better opponents, but he’s the +145 underdog ahead of his clash with Dolidze.
The Georgian is a talented and powerful striker. However, he’s on a two-fight skid and has never fought anyone as good as Smith ahead of his UFC light heavyweight debut.
We expect his American opponent to survive a few hairy moments before Dolidze gasses out and ultimately loses by TKO or submission for the first time in his career.
Mayra Bueno Silva vs Macy Chiasson
Bueno Silva has a lot of making up to do after her dreadful bantamweight title loss to Raquel Pennington last time out.
We think this the perfect fight for her to get back in the win column, and the oddsmakers seem to agree as she’s been priced at -175 against Chiasson.
The +150 underdog is a good fighter and can be competitive in this bout, but we ultimately think she’s a level below Bueno Silva and it will show in the Octagon.
Bueno Silva by decision is the safe bet but she could make a statement and submit Chiasson, as Pennington did in December 2021.
Ian Gary vs Michael Page
The pay-per-view opener is an intriguing and well-matched fight.
Garry is a slight -138 favorite against ‘MVP’, and we think that’s about right as the Irishman is a more well-round fighter with different routes to victory.
Page is capable of getting the job done – odds of +110 tell you this will be close. However, we ultimately think he’ll be outsmarted by Garry on fight night.
Don’t be surprised to see ‘The Future’ utilize his wrestling to get the job done over the talented kickboxer, who has glaring weaknesses in his grappling game.
