UFC 235 Salaries: Jon Jones & Tyron Woodley Make Big Money
The Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) released the UFC 235 salaries on Sunday and some of the top talents got paid some major cash.
Jon Jones was able to secure a unanimous decision win over Anthony Smith to retain the UFC light heavyweight title in the headliner of UFC 235. Kamaru Usman captured the welterweight title by scoring a dominant unanimous win over Tyron Woodley in the co-headliner.
Ben Askren vs. Robbie Lawler in a welterweight bout, Tecia Torres vs. Weili Zhang in a women’s strawweight bout, and Cody Garbrandt vs. Pedro Munhoz in a bantamweight bout rounded out the main card.
This show went down on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. The main card aired on pay-per-view at 10 p.m. ET. The preliminary card aired on ESPN at 8 p.m. ET and the UFC’s streaming service, Fight Pass, at 6:30 p.m. ET.
Jones and Woodley earned $500,000 while Smith and Usman picked up a $350,000 check. Askren also got $350,000 for his promotional debut.
