UFC 195 Preview: Free Fight Collection

Condit Lawler Miocic

UFC 195 is set go down next Saturday (January 2, 2016) night live on pay-per-view (PPV) from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The UFC has put together quite a solid card from top to bottom to start off the New Year, and fans should be excited to tune in.

The main event showcases one of the most highly anticipated upcoming fights as 170-pound champion “Ruthless” Robbie Lawler takes on former interim boss Carlos “The Natural Born Killer” Condit.

Both men are two of the best finishers in the sport, and neither is a stranger to bloody slugfests which fans could very well be in for when these two meet.

A winner of seven of his last eight with four finishes, the “Ruthless” one has gone on a tear as of late, showing the world why he’s one of the most feared men in mixed martial arts (MMA) today.

Condit on the other hand, recently returned from a brutal knee injury to score a lethal stoppage victory over Thiago Alves, proving that he’s still amongst the elite at 170-pounds.

As we near closer to the intriguing show down, let’s take a look at recent performances from both Lawler and Condit below courtesy of the UFC:

Aside from the main event, UFC 195 will also play host to a pivotal heavyweight fight between top contenders Andrei Arlovski and Stipe Miocic.

“The Pitbull”, a former UFC champion, has rattled off four straight wins since returning to the promotion in 2014, two of which have come by way of finish.

Miocic has won four out of his last five with his only loss coming in a hard-fought, bloody war with former champion Junior Dos Santos.

The Croatian has established himself as a true player in the division, and a win over Arlovski would move him that much closer to a title shot.
