It’s once again fight day here at LowKickMMA, and the talent on display tonight (Saturday August 1st, 2015) will come from HSBC Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in the form of UFC 190. Headlining the card are Ronda Rousey and Bethe Correia, but there’s a whole bunch of great fights also taking place on the preliminary section of the card.

Neil Magny vs. Demian Maia closed the preliminary card on Fox Sports 1 at UFC 190. Maia had the fight in his favor from the very beginning of round one. Maia took Magny down and transitioned into any position he pleased as if he was in practice. In the second round, Maia locked in the rear-naked choke for the win.

Rafael Cavalcante vs. Patrick Cummins met in a light heavyweight bout at UFC 190. Both fighters looked like they were involved in a crime scene as both guys were battered and bloody following the fight. In the third round, Cummins with a double leg takedown right away then landed some big elbows to stop the fight.

Warlley Alves (8-0 MMA, 2-0 UFC) vs. Nordine Taleb (11-2 MMA, 3-0 UFC) met in a welterweight bout at UFC 190. Alves was just better than Taleb on August 1st. Alves did what he wanted with Taleb that made Taleb get desperate and shooting in for a takedown, which resulted in Alves locking in the guillotine choke for the win in the second round. Iuri Alcantara vs. Leandro Issa opened the Fox Sports 1 preliminary bouts at UFC 190. Saying this was a one sided fight would be an understatement. Alcantara controlled the entire fight and just beat down Issa to earn a unanimous decision victory.

Clint Hester vs. Vitor Miranda in a middleweight bout finished off the UFC Fight Pass preliminary card at UFC 190. Hester might have been the more aggressive fighter, but Miranda controlled the entire fight. The end came when Hester went for a takedown but ate a knee and Miranda finished him off with strikes on the ground in the second round.

Opening the UFC Fight Pass prelims was Guido Cannetti vs. Hugo Viana in a bantamweight bout at UFC 190.  The first two rounds saw a mix of MMA with both stand up and wrestling, but the third round really hurt this close fight as it pretty boring with a ton of clinch work. In the end, Guido Cannetti defeated Hugo Viana via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28).
