UFC 184 Post-Fight Bonuses: Ronda Rousey Headlines Four $50,000 Winners
Tonight’s (Sat., February 28, 2015) UFC 184 from the Staples Center in Lose Angeles, California, featured a varied array of stoppages capped off by women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey’s incredible 14-second submission of No. 1 contender Cat Zingano in the main event.
Not surprisingly, growing megastar Rousey earned the night’s first $50,000 “Performance of the Night” bonus for her third finish in a grand total of 100 seconds.
Her bonus was the first of four “Performance of the Night” bonuses for the finish-heavy card. Jake Ellenberger earned the second $50,000 for his brutal choke of veteran Josh Koscheck.
The third went to surging lightweight Tony Ferguson, who submitted Gleison Tibau to kick off the main card.
The fourth and final UFC 184 “Performance of the Night” bonus went to Tim “Dirty Bird” Means for his first-round TKO win over TUF 19 veteran Dhiego Lima.
Tonight’s sold-out event drew 17,654 fans for a $2,675,000 gate.
