An explosive and exciting first round went to Fili, and a much closer second round was like a no-gi grappling exhibition. The third round was just as busy as the previous two, with both men exchanging positions in a pretty great fight overall. “Touchy” Fili takes the unanimous decision. Flabby flyweight (couldn’t resist) Scott Jorgensen takes on Wilson Reis, and this was a great fight.

Jorgensen dropped Reis with a right hand in the opening exchange, but it was the Brazilian who ended up getting the finish; after dropping “Young Guns” with a body shot, Reis swarmed the WEC veteran to get an arm-triangle choke submission. Lightweights Yan Cabral and Naoyuki Kotani were up next, and they put in a pretty cagey round one.

William Macario and Neil Magny is the feature prelim at welterweight, and it was a close opening round. Magny’s huge reach advantage probably got him the first at 10-9 by the jab.

The action got going quickly in the second, as Patolino managed to hurt Magny on the feet. The American took the fight to the ground though, neutralizing the Brazilian’s biggest strength. 10-9 Magny after some hard ground and pound. Last round, and Magny connects frequently with the right hand. Magny mounts Macario and is punishing him on the mat.
