UFC 178 Extended Preview
Two weeks from this Saturday night (September 27, 2014) UFC 178 will go down from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Featuring a flyweight title fight between dominant champion Demetrious “Mighty Mouse” Johnson and challenger Chris Cariaso, the main card is stacked to the brim with top-level match-ups.
In the co-main event, surging lightweight finisher Donald Cerrone will welcome former Bellator champion Eddie Alvarez to the UFC in a bout that is long overdue.
And of course Irish featherweight sensation Conor McGregor will take on his toughest UFC opponent yet when he squares off with No. 5-ranked Dustin Poirier.
No. 1-ranked women’s contender Cat Zingano will finally return to the Octagon after knee surgeries forced her to the sidelines since her TUF 17 finale win over No. 2 Miesha Tate, “Alpha” will square off with tough No. 8-ranked Amanda Nunes.
Despite losing the anticipated Jon Jones vs. Daniel Cormier title fight, the card still remains one of the most stacked of the year, if not the most.
