The attendance and post-fight bonuses have been announced for tonight’s UFC 150 in Denver, Colorado. Bonuses of $60,000 each, were awarded for Submission of the Night to Dennis Bermudez, Fight of the Night went to Donald Cerrone and Melvin Guillard and the Knockout of the Night was awarded to Donald Cerrone. The total bonus payout for this event came to $240,000, with Cerrone taking home half that amount. These numbers do not represent any pay-per-view bonuses or victory bonuses.
UFC President Dana White gave the attendance as 15,008 at the post fight press conference and the live gate at 0,000.
The $60,000 bonuses were issued as follows:
Knockout of the Night/Fight of the Night:
The Knockout of the Night Bonus went to Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone in the co-main event against Melvin “the Young Assassin” Guillard. The entire fight lasted 1 minute and 16 seconds. Cerrone threw a high kick which missed in the opening seconds. Guillard countered and sent Cowboy flying into the fence. He moved in and unloaded on Cerrone. Cowboy recovered and rocked the Young Assassin with a high left kick and followed up with a right cross. Which resulted in the first knockout suffered by Guillard. At the post fight press conference, Cowboy said: “He came out very explosive like I figured he would. I may have been a little amped up, but I gotta work on that.”
Cerrone’s double award gives him six post-fight bonus awards in his seven UFC fights. Prior to the UFC, the fan favorite earned five bonuses in his 10 fights in the WEC.
Submission of the Night:
Dennis Bermudez was awarded the ,000 Submission of the Night bonus for his standing guillotine choke over Tommy Hayden in the final seconds of the first round after clipping Hayden with a front kick to the chin.
