UFC 141 Medical Suspensions: Four fighters out up to six months

6437607277 68ddc5fb15 zUFC 141 took place on Friday, December 30. Of the 20 fighters that participated in the ten fights that took place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, twelve of them were handed medical suspensions.

Of those suspended Brock Lesnar, Nate Diaz, Vladimir Matyushenko and Manny Gamburyan could face the longest time away from the Octagon.

Brock Lesnar has been suspended until June 28 due to an abdominal injury can be cleared early by a doctor.

Alistair Overeem has been suspended until February 14, with no contact until January 30 due to cuts near his right eye.

Nate Diaz has been suspended until June 28 due to a right eye injury, but can be cleared early by an ophthalmologist. At a minimum Diaz has been suspended until January 30 with no contact until January 12.

Donald Cerrone has been suspended until February 14 with no contact until January 30 due to a cut lip.

Jon Fitch has been suspended until February 29 with no contact until February14.

Vladimir Matyushenko has been suspended until June 28 due to a knee injury, can be cleared early by a doctor. At a minimum, Matyushenko has been suspended until February14 with no contact until January 30.

Alexander Gustafsson has been suspended until January 30 with no contact until January 21 due to a shin contusion.

Nam Phan has been suspended until February 29 with no contact until February14 due to a cut above his right eye.

Junior Assuncao has been suspended until January 30 with no contact until January 21 due to a cut on his right cheek.

Dong Hyun Kim has been suspended until January 30 with no contact until January 21 due to a foot contusion

Manny Gamburyan has been suspended until June 28 due to a possible right shoulder injury, can be cleared early a doctor. At a minimum, he is suspended until January 30 with no contact until January 12.

Diego Nunes has been suspended until February 14 with no contact until January 30 due to a cut near his left eye.
