Twitter Reaction to UFC 177’s Main Event
UFC 177 has just gone down (August 30, 2014) from the Sleep Train Arena in Sacramento, California and it turned out to be a great card of fights, topped off by a brutal battle between bantamweight champion T.J. Dillashaw and short notice replacement Joe Soto in the main event.
Not many fans knew who Soto was coming into the bout with it being his UFC debut, he was originally scheduled to fight Anthony Birchak on the under card, but they certainly will now following his impressive performance against the champion.
It never went Soto’s way as he was knocked out with a devastating headkick in the fifth round but the performance from him and the fight itself has received plenty of praise from MMA stars on Twitter:
