Twitter Reacts To Epic UFC on FOX 22
UFC on FOX 22 went down earlier today (Saturday December 17, 2016) from the Golden 1 Arena in Sacramento, California, and what a night it was.
The main card featured a massive welterweight bout between Alan Jouban and undefeated prospect Mike Perry, which brought the house down. Ultimately it was Jouban’s experience, patience, and striking precision that would earn him the unanimous decision victory over ‘Platinum’.
Our next match-up featured the final bout of legendary bantamweight Urijah Faber’s Hall Of Fame career, in which he took on fellow longtime vet Brad ‘One Punch’ Pickett. Faber was able to put on a masterful performance and go out on a high note with a unanimous decision win in his hometown.
The evening’s co-main event featured a bout between two of the hottest prospects in the 170-pound division, between Mickey Gall and ‘Super’ Sage Northcutt.
And finally in our main event of the evening No. 7-ranked Paige VanZant collided with the No. 11-ranked former Invicta FC champ Michelle Waterson.
Check out how MMA Twitter reacted to the spectacular event here:
What a left hook by Faber for the knockdown in R1. No idea how Pickett managed to survive that.

Round 2 to Faber, as well. This is vintage Cali Kid. If only Master Thong could be there (he had to move back home recently).
— Ariel Helwani (@arielhelwani) December 18, 2016
Credit to Faber for going out on his terms. Most fighters hang around well past their sell by date. He bows out on a high note.

Sage taps to a Rnc after being rocked from a right behind the ear. Gall with good instincts to finish #UFCSacramento
— Sarah Kaufman (@mmasarah) December 18, 2016
Mickey Gall says he's dropping to 155 and wants to welcome back Dan Hardy. This time I don't think he'll get his wish.
— Brett Okamoto (@bokamotoESPN) December 18, 2016
All petty bullcrap aside congratulations to @urijahfaber on his win and great career. Paved the… https://t.co/p0bX4YwO3x

— Dan Hardy (@danhardymma) December 18, 2016
It's weird the UFC booked an Amateur fight as the Co-Main event 😳
— Cub Swanson (@CubSwanson) December 18, 2016

Michelle Waterson chokes out Paige VanZant. PVZ refused to tap, goes to sleep#UFCSacramento
— Damon Martin (@DamonMartin) December 18, 2016
Connor Mcgregor would have tapped like a type writer to that. @PaigeVanzantUFC is bad ass.
— Chris Wade (@CWadeMMA) December 18, 2016
PVZ didn't tap. She's so darn tough.
What a performance by Waterson, who hasn't fought since July '15. By far biggest win of her career.
— Ariel Helwani (@arielhelwani) December 18, 2016
Paige just needs more time. Anyone who thought she was gonna hang with a true Vet/world champion like Waterson is ignorant to the sport
— Brendan Schaub (@BrendanSchaub) December 18, 2016
Wow! @karatehottiemma ?? How bout the Submission Sultress? #UFCSacremento
— Stephan Bonnar (@StephanBonnar) December 18, 2016
Waterson: my daughter told me I'd be her favorite fighter if I won, so I had to make it happen.
