Twitter Reacts To Michael Bisping’s Win Over Anderson Silva
A highly anticipated middleweight showdown went down earlier today (February 27, 2016) as former long-time champion Anderson Silva returned to action to meet British star Michael “The Count” Bisping.
Fans were undoubtedly given a treat, as the two men went to war for five rounds.
There was even some controversy when Silva landed a brutal flying knee that dropped “The Count” as the bell rang to end the third round. “The Spider” began to celebrate as if he had won the fight, but referee Herb Dean didn’t stop the contest.
Bisping would go on to score a huge upset win with a unanimous decision in front of his home country, truly a special moment for “The Count”.
Check out how twitter reacted to the bout below:

Great fight. Judges got it right. Can’t take off 90% of the fight. @bisping just showed how to rally. #UFCLondon

Wow! Good for Bisping but thought Anderson had last 3 rounds. He deserved it if you base it on complete effort.

Only two men have beaten Anderson Silva in the UFC over the past 10 years: Weidman and Bisping. Who woulda thunk it?

Awesome fight by @bisping and @SpiderAnderson ! Might be the most dramatic too lol #ufcfightnightlondon

If you're @SpiderAnderson & you basically KO'd @bisping at the end of R3, how do you not (a) finish the job in R4 or even (b) win the round?
— Jeff Wagenheim (@jeffwagenheim) February 27, 2016
Congrats @bisping on beating the legend @SpiderAnderson what war and the diversity you went through. Well done @ufc https://t.co/3srJQApvxr

Greatest win of Michael Bisping's career. He'll have that forever. Doubt he'll ever win a title but this one will heal that wound.
