Twitter Reacts To Conor McGregor’s Shocking Victory At UFC 194
The MMA world is still rocked by the crazy finish that Conor McGregor pulled off against Jose Aldo. See the best reactions here….
The newly crowned unified UFC featherweight champion COnor McGregor is probably feeling pretty amazing right now. He faced the top pound-for-pound fighter on the planet in Jose Aldo at UFC 194, and produced a shocking first round knockout via left hook. It was the first significant strike landed, and it put the formerly dominant champion’s lights out cold.
In all honesty, did anyone expect the finish to come that quickly? The oddsmakers were pretty spot on in their betting lines in hindsight, as they pretty much favored McGregor all along. The changing of the guard at both middleweight and featherweight happened tonight, as Luke Rockhold also came through with a huge finish against Chris Weidman.
The internet has obviously exploded after such a crazy event, so check out the best Twitter reactions from around the MMA world:
Aldo always spoke whatever he wanted about fighter pay & Reebok & everything else. That might work against him asking for a rematch.

With Rousey dethroned, now McGregor is the champ who makes fights the length of a Vine. Preemptive copyright violation email forthcoming?

This fight should wake up doubters – myself included – about McGregor's power translating at 155. We still don't know, but argument changes.

Word is Conor McGregor is going to ask for things financially that no other fighter save Fedor has ever demanded. Buckle in kids. #UFC194

There are no "flukes" or "lucky" punches. Aldo was too aggressive due to a year of trash talk, McGregor was ready with the left. #UFC194

DC with the wise words: Conor McGregor changed tactics and waited for Jose Aldo to overextend himself while attacking. #UFC194

How can you not respect Conor McGregor? He said he was going to do something and he went out there and damn well did it.
